We held another party on June 7th at our hotel! It was our 3rd time hosting a party. 🎉
This time, the party’s concept was “Tasting 4 different types of Jizake manufactured in Kyoto”. 🍶
These are the 4 types of Jizake we prepared for the party.✨
- Yamadanishiki Special🍶
-It is made 100% out of Yamadanishiki, king of Japanese sake made out of rice.
- Miyako-Shibori🍶
-It is made out of “Iwai-mai” which is a type of rice only harvested in Kyoto prefecture.
- Lemon Rock🍶🍋
-Sake which is mixed with Lemon juice. It has a super refreshing taste!
- Hannari Rock🍶
-Sake which is mixed with Shiso essence (from Doi-Shibaduke honpo which is famous Shiba-duke bland). It has sweetness, sourness, and kind of bitter taste with perfect balance!
We purchased all of these Jizake from a famous sake manufacturing company “Gekkeikan”.
We would like to introduce a little bit about “Gekkeikan” in this article as well.
Gekkeikan is a long lasting sake manufacturing company located in Fushimi-ward, Kyoto.
It was established 1637 years, and it is considered as one of the oldest and most historical sake manufacturers in Japan.
They have a wide range of product line matching many different kinds of customer needs. For example, they have some sake that are purchasable at convenience stores or super markets, but on the other hand, they have some highly rated sake which was brought up at the national sake reviewing association.
Since they had been targeting new customers abroad, we decided to serve their products at the party.
Other than the 4 Jizake, we also served some Japanese food in a buffet style.
For example, “Gion Kirara” which is a restaurant who serves our breakfasts at Tsukimi Hotel, cooked us many different types of Japanese traditional food.🍱
Sushi and other kinds of Japanese sweets were served as well.
The number of guests that came to the party where way over of what we had expected!
By the way, which Jizake do you think was the most popular out of the 4 we provided?
All of them taste very good but…….. it was the Miyako-shibori!!🌟
We had comments such as:
-Refreshing taste
-Not too sweet, but neither too spicy
-the flavor stays inside your mouth for a decent amount of time and its impressive📝✅
We only had 4 different Jizake, but it gave our guests so many different impressions.
We had so much to learn from these 4 bottles of liquor as a matter of fact.
As a conclusion, through this event many people were able to know each other, experience tasting local Jizake of Kyoto, and for us, we were able to get many different opinions about our hotel that would help us improve our service.
At Tsukimi Hotel, we are planning to hold these kinds of parties every once in a while.
We would be more than happy to have you as our next guest!🙌⭐️
