This is another update of the our blog.
Once again, we would like to advise you that we will have a “Kyoto Local Sake Tasting” event on June 7th, 2019.
Here are the basic details of the event;
-Date: June 7th,2019
-Time: 7pm~10pm (3hrs)
-Place: Tsukimi Hotel (Lounge or Rooftop)
-Fees: 1000 yen/person
-Things offered: 4 types of Local Sake of Kyoto, Buffet, Japanese Sweets, One Drink.
The main reason that we will do this is event is not just for participants to have a good time, but for them to be able to discover Japanese culture from tasting local Sake manufactured in Kyoto, share information and ideas with others, and most of all have a memorable night in Kyoto.
We tried to keep this event with the lowest budget possible so that many people could participate to this event.
Here is some background information for you to know about the drink we will serve at the event.
The Japanese tebm “ Sake” means Alcoholic beverage in Japanese.
“Kyoto Local Sake” is “地酒(Jizake)” in Japanese. It can be described as “Craft Sake” in English.
Jizake is the liquor manufactured and sold mainly in a certain locations.
The ingredients used to produce the liquor would also be the ones from that specific location, So if when we use the term “Kyoto local Sake”, it means that we will be serving Sake that has been produced in Kyoto with the ingredients sourced from Kyoto.
One of the fascinating aspects of Jizake is that it is usually not sold outside, which makes itself an exclusive product.
We will be serving 4 different types of “Jizake” from Kyoto at the event!
